Being ill and feeling run down all the time is not the best way to enhance your productivity at work and your energy at home. The reality of this situation is that many people suffer from fatigue and don’t know that there is a simple remedy for it. When your body does not receive the correct amounts of the proper nutrients, it cannot carry out its everyday functions properly. This is often caused by a lack of vital nutrients in the body.

In the meantime, you are expecting all kinds of things from your body. You might want it to deliver, but your inputs are just not creating the right outputs. Feeling lethargic, with a lack of energy and stamina is a sure sign of loss of natural nutrients in the body.

Many natural health remedies will help you fight all these issues with which your body is faced. A natural health regimen will incorporate the right eating habits, which means your body will get the right food to help you keep fatigue and lethargy at bay.

Natural health remedies come in many forms; these can be natural health products for internal and external use, natural health medicine or natural health tonics. As a consumer, you have a number of options. You should start with one product, build a regimen, and then move on to the next.

A natural health remedy can also involve using natural health products to help you keep your body as healthy as you possibly can. Natural health remedies will help you maintain wellness, not simply treat the symptoms, as is the case in most of modern American medicine.

Your body is like a car. It needs the right fuel, in the proper amounts, so that it can keep running at maximum performance. Natural health remedies will give you a helping and natural advantage in all the little everyday ailments that you are faced with. As a consumer, you have a number of options. You should start with one product, build a regimen and view the results, and then move on to the next.

In addition to using natural health remedies, you should also learn what to eat and in what proportions, so you can prevent stress and fatigue. Changing your diet will have benefits that last beyond the day or the week; changing your diet will have a lifelong impact on your energy level and productivity.

Many of the natural health remedies are praised for their fast and effective means of dealing with many of today’s ailments. Their long history is something that cannot be denied. Chinese herbal medicine has been around for centuries, and in the Western world, folk medicine is being proven by modern science to be based in fact. No longer is folk medicine viewed as an archaic tradition from the hill country of the Southern states. It is joining the mainstream of modern America because people are sick and tired of not only the cost of pharmaceuticals, but because many feel that doctors are simply “throwing” medicine at a problem instead of finding a cure.

My own experience is an example of this. After knee surgery 3 years ago, I developed serious allergies that caused me to break out in hives on a daily basis. Nothing a prominent allergist or my family doctor has done can find the reason for these daily attacks, yet they “keep me going” by prescribing huge doses of Allegra and Tagamet. Out of pocket expenses for these medications, if I did not have co-pay, would be outrageous.

This experience has caused me to become interested in natural herbal remedies and all things related to natural medicine. My quest for a cure has begun with research. I have developed a website, http://www.naturesherbalremediesonline.com , to address the issues facing people today who are seeking answers.

The website is designed to be interactive, with a form on the home page designed for the reader to ask for more information and to give suggestions for topics. I urge everyone interested in natural herbal remedies to visit today, and leave your feedback.

Prostate health is an important topic on the minds of many today. Prostate health is extremely important, as prostate cancer and other related
medical conditions are common among men. With supercharged saw palmetto, powerful antioxidants and a list of proven prostate supporters, Prostacet is the most comprehensive formula available.

Each year thousands of men are treated for inflamed prostates, in most cases those cases of prostatitis could have been prevented with the help of
supplements for prostate health. Maintaining a healthy prostate is easy enough these days with all of the dietary supplements and herbal pills

any of these disorders.

Supplements for prostate health are not cures, they are habits and nutrients that can help improve a man’s prostate health and thereby narrow his chances of acquiring prostate-related disorders such as prostatitis, enlarged prostate and even cancer. Supplements and food sources rich in antioxidants (vitamin E and selenium) have been shown to control cell damage and may prevent prostate cancer.

Herbal remedies have long been found effective as supplements for prostate health. Some of the most common ingredients in prostate supplements are herbs like saw palmetto and pygeum. Good supplements, such as Prostacet, combine different ingredients proven to support good prostate health.

Afflictions of the prostate are most commonly found in developed countries whose dietary habits focus on red meat and dairy products. To maintain
the health of the prostate gland, experts have claimed that excessive intake of animal-derived foods such as red meat and dairy products should be avoided. While, products like saw palmetto berries and lycopene may help naturally improve an enlarged prostate.

so most men take the health of their prostates very seriously. For men, particularly those aged 45 and above, maintaining a healthy prostate is
necessary. Since prostate cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer in men, every man should consider trying to improve the health of this
vital gland naturally through diet and supplements. Prostacet is a super prostate formula and the best supplement to give your body all that it needs to help you in reducing your risk for prostate cancer.

How a natural enzyme can improve and maintain your health

Over thirty years ago, a German physician, Dr. Hans Neiper, faced with the problems that are still unresolved by mainstream medicine today, looked to nature to find a way that would deal with all and any type of inflammation.

Over thirty years ago, a German physician, Dr. Hans Neiper, faced with the problems that are still unresolved by mainstream medicine today, looked to nature to find a way that would deal with all and any type of inflammation.

Inflammation is anything in the body that should not be there. Any “non living tissue”. And quite simply, this is just about anything that causes pain. Blockages, such as in the head or chest from mucus, like catarrh, sinus or bronchial problems, asthma, emphysema, or industrially induced problems including asbestosis.

Things like blood clots, prostate problems, arthritis, ulcers and a mass of other problems that your doctor will tell you cannot be helped are all caused by inflammation.

Serrapeptase is the enzyme that the silkworm uses to dissolve its cocoon. Dr. Neiper realised that if the silkworm, when it turns from being the worm into a moth, and it does so in a very short time, must have something that dissolves “non living tissue”, because the cocoon is a hard structure of dead tissue.

Dr. Neiper separated the enzyme out, gave it to his patients and achieved staggering results, very quickly.

He gave it to one patient due for amputation of a hand because of a blocked artery. It cleared the blockage and the man kept his hand. He also reported that Serrapeptase dissolved blood clots and caused varicose veins to shrink or diminish.

To achieve the huge amount required in the world today, Serrapeptase is now naturally processed commercially through fermentation. Histological studies have revealed powerful anti-inflammatory effects of this naturally occurring enzyme.

Known possible benefits may be the resolving of pain; dealing with lung problems; eye problems; ENT problems (Ear-Nose-Throat); trauma; inflammation of any kind; cardiovascular difficulties and very importantly, arthritis.

In 25 years of being prescribed by German doctors, no harmful side effects have been reported.

Serrapeptase can, and does, resolve many problems that doctors tell us are insoluble.

However, we need to remember that many of the problems we experience with our health are often closely tied to our diet.

If we eat junk food, we will get junk health. When shopping in the supermarket, look at the labels. How many E numbers or things that are clearly not proper, natural food are there in the packet?

Also, anything that is in the form of so called “sugar free” invariably contains aspartame and other things which are detrimental to our health. So, try to keep to a good diet.

Alternative remedies, many of which have stood the test of time, in some cases many hundreds of years, finally offer hope to a lot of people.

Serrapeptase is a recent addition to the list, being “discovered” only 35 or so years ago. But it is one that works for many people.

Using Buttons and Badges in the Health Care Industry

In the health care industry, buttons can be a great way to spread motivation, identify people, and help with the healing process. There are many different uses and fun projects that hospitals can do with buttons and badges.

Buttons for hospitals can be a great way to spread motivation, identify people, and help with the healing process. There are a great many uses and fun projects that hospitals can do utilizing buttons. From Public Relations to patient care, buttons can serve you well in a hospital environment.

Any hospital with a children?s ward should have a button maker machine. Children in the hospital are often frightened, disoriented and of course ill. For patients who are able to sit up and draw, button making can help fill those hours between visitors, occupy their mind and make them feel useful. A positive outlook plays a critical role in a patient?s recovery and for children, it is important to inspire creativity to take their minds off their environment. Button making for the children can be both beneficial to their mental health and fun.

Provide a template to a child and some crayons or markers. Family members can bring photos or other flat items to add to the button. The children can be left to their own creativity or a daily or weekly theme can be used. For children who are long term patients, giving them a button to make everyday can ease anticipation and give them something positive to look forward to the next day. This will also help in establishing some form of routine, which in smaller children will help them feel safe in their environment. Completed buttons can be worn by the children, their families, the staff, or displayed on bulletin boards outside the door of their room. Displaying the buttons will make walking the halls interesting and fun for both children and family.

Buttons can be another great gift item in the hospital gift store. These are an inexpensive and easy item to make for sale in the shop. “Congratulations!” in pink or blue on a button for births would be a great idea for the new older brother or sister to purchase for mom. This same button can be added to a stuffed bear or bunny. “It?s a Girl!”, “It?s a Boy!”, and “Get Well” would all be great sayings for buttons to be added to stuffed animals or cards that are sold in the gift shop. For example, you can post a sign that reads “Buy a Stuffed animal and get a button for only a dollar more.” Buttons make great keepsakes and are so inexpensive to produce that even at the price of one dollar you can make a handsome profit for the gift shop.

Buttons for patients and staff are another use for the button making machines. An interesting proposition for the new parents is to have a “New Dad” and “New Mom” button made up for them with the name, birth date, weight and length of their new child. These are great keepsakes for parents to put in baby albums. Proud parents can wear these buttons in the hospital and you can sell additional buttons for their family members such as grandparent?s aunts and uncles. Imagine the pride on a new older brother?s face as he wears a button that reads “Ask me about my new baby sister”. These buttons show that you go the extra mile for your patients and their family.

Natural Health Remedies for Insect Bites and Stings

This article provides natural health care remedies and solutions for the victim of insect bites and stings — also includes advice on prevention.

Almost anywhere you reside on this planet there are small creatures, tiny insects that attack to sting or bite you, either because they see you as a threat to their very existence or as food for their survival.

Insect bite appearance is noticeable by one or more red bumps which are extremely itchy. Yes, you want to scratch it – but don’t! Easier said than done I know; problem is, scratching will exacerbate the itchiness and make it bleed.

If you have a tick, flee or a mosquito bite, they have been feeding off you; and most irksome is the thought of that nasty itchy bump left behind from a mosquito is actually full of its saliva.

Insect stings are commonly ants, bees and wasps; their sting penetrates your skin injecting poison into you.

Whilst ants and wasps will sting you several times, a bee stings once, leaving its stinger under your skin with a sac full of venom on the surface. The tendency is to panic and try to brush it off with your hand; this only serves to pump in more of the venom as will trying to remove it with your fingertips or tweezers.

Yes, it’s a bit of a shock and it hurts! Keep a cool head, slide your fingernail under the sac and scrape away the sting. You could use the edge of a, not too sharp knife, or the edge of your bank or credit card.

A bee sting or a wasp sting can cause an allergic reaction which could be fatal if not treated urgently – medical attention is required immediately!

The symptoms of allergic reaction, called anaphylaxis, are: hives, swelling in the mouth and/or throat, laboured breathing and rapid heart rate.

If you have many bites and stings, and you don’t have an allergic reaction you are not out of danger – you must seek medical attention immediately!

We’ll assume you have been stung once – the bee sting is out – with no reaction.

Here are some natural health solutions to treat insect stings:

. For a bee sting, stir a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda in a glass of water until dissolved; then use a cotton wool bud to dip into the solution wetting the area, and then place it directly on the sting securing it with sticky tape.

. For a wasp sting, dip the cotton wool bud into vinegar; as with a bee sting, wet the area first, and then place it directly on the sting securing it with sticky tape.

. If you have Papaya handy, place a slice on the sting area. Papaya has enzymes that bring down inflammation and swelling.

. Garlic or onion rubbed on the sting site will do the job as well.

. Crush an aspirin, adding to water making a paste, apply to the sting to reduce the swelling. (WARNING: if you have an aspirin allergy DO NOT apply aspirin ever! And DO NOT use aspirin to treat children).

. Applying sugar works just as well to bring down the swelling

. Try rubbing on Calendula cream to reduce itching or a few drops of Lavender oil or Tea tree oil.

If you take a walks through forests, woodlands, meadows or moors, be aware that ticks attach to your skin; and as the little vampire tick bites and feeds off your blood they may infect you with Lyme disease, a bacteria called ‘Borrelia burgdorferi’ which must be treated by a doctor.

If you find a tick on your body, use tweezers as close to the skin as you can, gently pull until it free; try not to break the head or it will stay latched to your skin and cause infection.

Once the tick is free, apply an antiseptic.

What to do about those mosquito bites, flee bites and other biting insects:

. Don’t scratch

. Applying an ice cube to the bite will reduce itching

. Bites can be treated with essential oils. Apply a few drops of eucalyptus oil, clove oil or peppermint oil on a cotton wool bud

. Roll-on or spray deodorants are known to work – give it a try

. Check your toothpaste label; if it has peppermint smear it on the bite

How do you prevent these pesky parasite’s bites and stings?

Eat a couple of cloves of garlic daily before and when you go outside. Your sweat glands release the garlic smell repelling most insects.

Don’t like garlic?

You can use a repellent called Permethrin, a natural insecticidal property originally found in chrysanthemums. Permethrin is now sold in a spray can as a synthesized man-made insecticide.

Spray it on the clothes you plan to go out in and hang them to dry. Make sure they are not light, bright coloured clothes as they will only attract the little varmints!

Patching Up the Problems in Women’s Sexual Health and Pregnancy

This article provides background information about the birth control patch and the controversies that surrounded the said method or product.

One of the lesser known pregnancy prevention products available is called the birth control patch. The birth control patch is a thin, beige square patch that sticks to the skin. By releasing hormones through the skin into the bloodstream, this birth control method would help prevent pregnancy. By combining the hormones called progesterone and estrogen, the patch prevents ovulation or the release of an egg from the ovaries during a woman’s monthly menstruation. The hormones in the patch also thickens the mucus produced in the cervix, making it difficult for sperm to enter and reach any eggs that may have been released.

Similar to other forms of birth control such as the birth control pill or ring, the user works on the birth control patch based on her menstrual cycle. Normally, the girl puts the patch on the first day of her menstrual cycle, or the first Sunday after her cycle begins. She will then place the patch on her skin once a week for three weeks straight. This patch should be applied to either of the following: buttocks, abdomen, upper arm, or upper torso. On its fourth week, no patch is worn, and the user’s period will then start again during this time.

The sales of birth control patches dipped after a legal complaint was made by a group of 40 women, all of which used a popular birth control patch, directly to the patch’s manufacturer. They claimed that these contraceptives were causing serious health problems. One specific lawsuit claimed that 43 women suffered from blood clots and other ailments after taking a popular branded birth control patch. A second lawsuit stated that a woman of 25 died of severe blood clots in her lungs and legs after she began using this birth control product.

These lawsuits complained that the manufacturer of this birth control patch allegedly failed to warn the public about the risks of using the said product. The plaintiff also claimed that the company deceived the public about the severity of potential side effects, and that includes concealing information about the risk of strokes and severe blood clots. Shawn Khorrami, one of the attorneys for the plaintiffs, said that this product should not be on the market. When a certain product is put out, giving women more hormones than they need, then you are increasing their risk of developing those ailments. Khorrami also added that similar lawsuits have been filed on behalf of nearly 400 women around the US.

Last September, the FDA warned women regarding the risk of blood clots in the legs and lungs and their use of birth control patches. As a result of the warning, the product label was updated to reflect the data of one study that found women using the patch faced twice the risk of clots than did women on the pill. From this information, women should be careful in choosing their form of birth control. It is advisable for them to go and visit their gynecologist or physician, and try to gather facts about their health history, and choose the best birth control that will suit both their health and lifestyle.

Three Steps To Better Joint Health

Chances are you or someone you know has joint problems–according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one in three U.S. adults experience some form of joint discomfort on a daily basis. Fortunately people can improve their joint health by making simple changes.

Chances are you or someone you know has joint problems-according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one in three U.S. adults experience some form of joint discomfort on a daily basis. Unfortunately, many Americans simply view their discomfort as an inconvenience and don’t do anything to improve their joint health. Best-selling author of The Arthritis Cure, Jason Theodosakis, MD, thinks this philosophy is a mistake. “People can improve their joint health by making simple lifestyle changes. In the short term, these steps can improve joint mobility, flexibility and comfort, and may help protect joints from deteriorating in the future.”

Here are Dr. Theodosakis’ top tips for creating a healthy, active lifestyle.

• Lace Up: Moderate, low impact exercise is crucial to improve mobility. By incorporating activities such as walking, swimming and biking into a 30-minute, three to five times per week schedule, joint strain can be reduced. If it’s hard to get moving, find a buddy to exercise with. The buddy system increases motivation and fun levels.

• Find Balance: Diet fads often don’t become part of a regular eating regimen and, more importantly, don’t always provide the essential nutrients that bodies need. Create a realistic, balanced eating plan. Contact a registered dietitian or nutritionist if you need help developing an eating program that meets your individual needs and goals.

• Boost Joint-Protecting Nutrient Intake: Recent scientific studies show glucosamine and chondroitin are extremely safe, and help improve joint comfort, especially in people who need it most. Combination products, such as Nature Made TripleFlex, tend to be more effective than taking the individual supplements. It’s most important to look for products that contain 1,500 mg of glucosamine and 800 to 1,200 mg of chondroitin.

Answers to 5 Common Questions About Texas Health Insurance

Although Texas ranks the highest among U.S. states in the number of uninsured residents, obtaining affordable Texas medical insurance is easier and more affordable than you think.

Although Texas ranks the highest among U.S. states in the number of uninsured residents, obtaining affordable Texas medical insurance is easier and more affordable than you think. Here are answers to five common questions about getting health insurance in Texas.

1. I’m young and healthy. Why should I spend money for medical insurance that I’ll never use?

Having insurance is like carrying an umbrella. You may not need it most of the time, but when there’s a torrential downpour you’ll be glad you have it. Even young and healthy people have accidents, seasonal illnesses, and sometimes tragic health issues. If you wind up having a serious medical condition, it can become very difficult to obtain Texas medical insurance, or your preexisting condition may be excluded from your coverage. In addition, you can get much lower premiums when you’re young and healthy, so health insurance provides excellent protection at very little cost.

2. Is there a benefit to using a health insurance agency, as opposed to getting quotes for policies on my own or going through a single agent?

A health insurance agency provides a number of benefits. First, they have established relationships with many, many insurance companies. This means that they have access to all of the best Texas medical insurance plans in the marketplace, while not having a bias toward any single insurer. This is in contrast to some individual agents, who work on behalf of one or two companies, and who will try and push you to sign up with their company. While you can research various plans on your own, a health insurance agency will do the legwork for you and present you will all available options, at no charge to you.

3. What’s the most important feature to consider when buying health insurance?

There are two important features that people often overlook: the lifetime maximum coverage and the maximum out-of-pocket expense. Although your more immediate concerns might be co-payments for doctors’ visits and prescription coverage, if you or a family member experiences a catastrophic illness, your overall coverage and out-of-pocket costs are much more crucial. Look for a policy that offers lifetime maximum coverage of $3 million or more, and a yearly out-of-pocket maximum in the $2,000 to $3,000 range.

4. Can I trust online comparisons for Texas health insurance?

Yes. The law requires that identical plans have identical pricing, regardless of whether you go directly through the insurer or use a health insurance agency. In other words, if you’re looking at the XYZ company’s Plan A, you will receive the same quote whether you get it online, place a phone call, or visit an insurance agency or company. Keep in mind though, that the price you pay may depend upon a number of variables, including your age, your gender, whether or not you smoke, and any pre-existing medical conditions that you may have. The final price is in large part determined by your medical history.

5. What’s the difference between an HMO and a PPO?

When it comes to Texas medical insurance, a health maintenance organization (HMO) requires that, for non-emergency services, you use their physicians and hospitals. A preferred provider organization (PPO) allows you to visit any health care provider, but gives you more benefits if you use health care professionals and services within their network.

Threats to Male Sexual Health

Male sexual health is threatened by penile and testicular disorders which can damage a man’s fertility and capability for sexual activity. These disorders include priapism, balanitis, balanoposthitis, phimosis, and penile cancer. This article discusses these disorders, their causes, and treatment methods.

Some of the most common threats to male sexual health manifest themselves as penile and testicular disorders. These disorders that affect the male external reproductive organs can severely affect a man’s fertility as well as sexual functioning. Below are some of the most common threats to male sexual health:

Priapism

Priapism is often termed as the opposite of erectile dysfunction. In this case, a man experiences a painful erection which often lasts for four hours or even longer. Priapism occurs when blood flows into the penis but is not drained sufficiently. Since priapism is not an effect of sexual activity, it cannot be relieved by masturbation and orgasm.

Some of the most common causes of priapism are:

* blood pressure medications and antidepressants
* drug use and alcohol
* anesthesia
* blood diseases
* penile injection therapy

Treatment for priapism usually come in the form of medical emergencies. Blood is drained out of the penis by using a needle to relieve the erection and restore normal organ function. Medications for priapism are designed to shrink penile blood vessels to minimize blood flow. However, treatment of underlying conditions is preferred to prevent priapism or its recurrence.

Balanitis and Balanoposthitis

Balanitis refers to the inflammation of the glans or penis’s head. On the other hand, balanoposthitis is the inflammation of both the glans and the foreskin. Both disorders exhibit similar symptoms like rash, pain, swelling, foul discharge, and itching in the penile area. These disorders are common in men and boys who have poor personal hygiene and are uncircumcised.

Irritants the cause balantis and balanoposthitis include:

* dead skin cells
* tight foreskins
* infection
* dermatitis
* diabetes

Circumcision and the practice of proper hygiene can prevent and alleviate both disorders. However, the best way to treat these disorders is by treatment of underlying conditions especially if the irritations are caused by infections, dermatitis, and diabetes.

Phimosis

Although it is not really a disease, phimosis is a condition that can cause one. Phimosis occurs when the foreskin is too tight that it cannot be retracted to reveal the head of the penis. This condition can cause extreme discomfort when it comes to sexual activity, urination, and personal hygiene.

Common cause of phimosis includes:

* birth defect
* scar tissue
* infection
* balanitis

Treatment for this condition usually includes gentle manual stretching of the foreskin to increase its elasticity. Circumcision and medication to loosen the skin are also popular options in treating phimosis. For a less traumatic treatment than circumcision, some opt for preputioplasty or separating the glans from the foreskin.

Penile Cancer

A rare form of cancer, penile cancer occurs when abnormal cell growth in the penis increase and grow. Non-cancerous or benign penile tumors can also develop into cancer over time. Symptoms of penile cancer often take the form of penile sores, bleeding, and abnormal discharge. The cause of penile cancer is not definite but there are certain risk factors that increase a man’s chances of developing this disease.

Some of these risks include:

* uncircumcision
* smoking
* smegma
* age
* human papilloma virus
* phimosis
* psoriasis treatment

Surgical removal of the cancer is the most common way to treat penile cancer. The cancer is often taken out using any of the following procedures:

* wide local excision
* cyrosurgery
* microsurgery
* curettage and electrodessication
* laser surgery
* penectomy
